Frequently Asked Questions

What groups can you accommodate?

We welcome everyone—quilters, scrapbookers, rubber stampers, and other crafting groups.

What is your capacity?

We can accommodate a maximum of five guests. No children under 18 are allowed.

Is there anything important to know about getting into the cabin?

Access involves an inclined driveway and moderately uphill walkway. Most guests handle it just fine, but it can be challenging if you have mobility issues or trouble with slopes. The cabin is also at about 5,300 feet, so the altitude may make breathing more difficult for those with breathing or respiratory concerns. We encourage guests to consider their comfort level before booking.

Can you tell me about the cabin?

On the main floor there is a living room, dining area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two baths. There is an upstairs loft if you need a quiet place to relax.

What are the sleeping arrangements and do you supply linens?

We have two bedrooms in the cabin: one with two twin beds and the other with three twin beds. We provide linens and one set of towels. Each bed has its own nightstand, lamp and power source for all your electronics.

How many bathrooms?

We have three. The hallway bathroom has a walk‑in shower, the master bedroom has a tub/shower combo, and the sewing studio has its own walk‑in shower.

Is the cabin on one floor?

The cabin has one main floor and a loft for anyone who wants a quiet place to relax. Because the cabin is built into a hill, guests can enter the cabin by walking up the paved pathway or by taking the stairs. A wagon is available to help transport your belongings

Are there outdoor seating options?

Yes. There are three separate outdoor seating areas. There is a wonderful deck on the front, a cozy back porch and the sewing studio has a very nice patio area. It is not unusual for wildlife visitors to wander through the yard.

Can you describe your sewing studio?

The sewing area is detached from the main cabin. Guests will need to go outside and walk a short distance on a paved surface between the sewing area and the cabin. There are no stairs. The studio includes the following amenities:
– Five 78″ tables with individual adjustable lamps and power towers with USB
– Comfortable rolling, adjustable chairs
– Ceiling lighting plus good natural light
– Two electric height-adjustable cutting tables with mats, plus a third folding cutting table if needed
– Two ironing stations with irons, with a third setup available if needed
– A variety of rulers in case you forget yours.
– Moveable design walls 4′ x 8′ design walls
– Kitchenette area with a small refrigerator, countertop ice maker, microwave and Keurig
– Bathroom
-Spare sewing machine power cord and an extra sewing machine available for emergencies

What are your rental fees and what does it cover?

The rental fee covers lodging, bedding, one set of towels per guest, a fully stocked kitchen, and 24/7 access to the sewing studio. Rates are $300 per night from Sunday to Thursday and $350 per night on Friday and Saturday, plus applicable taxes. There is a 2-night minimum stay, and a $175 cleaning fee applies to all reservations.

What is your payment and cancellation policy?

An online deposit of $200 is required to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due three weeks prior to arrival. Final payment can be made online or arranged through Zelle.

If you cancel 90 or more days before your arrival, your deposit will be refunded minus a $20 cancellation fee. Cancellations made 89 to 31 days before arrival receive a 50% refund, minus the $20 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival are not eligible for a refund.

For all cancellations, payments may be transferred one time to a future retreat and must be used within one year.

Are pets allowed?

We love animals, but to keep the cabin comfortable and allergy‑friendly for all guests, we don’t allow pets of any kind. This includes emotional support animals. In Arizona, emotional support animals aren’t considered service animals under ADA rules, so they don’t have the same access rights.

Trained service dogs are welcome. If you’ll be bringing one, just let us know ahead of time so we can make sure everything is set up comfortably for you and your service animal.
