Things To Do

Let’s face it, we all want to get out of the quilt room every once in a while. Here are things you can do around Pine, Arizona

Do you need one more fabric to complete your quilt? Take a trip 15 miles to Payson and visit The Copper Needle. It has just what you need.

Tonto Natural Bridge State Park is located in central Arizona near Payson. It is believed to be the largest natural travertine bridge in the world. The bridge stands 183 feet high over a 400-foot long tunnel that measures 150 feet at its widest point. There are four hiking trails, a picnic area, and a group use area. The park provides habitat for animals, insects, and birds as well as Interpretive exhibits including artifacts on the history of Tonto Natural Bridge, plus information about travertine, prehistoric inhabitants, and the historic Goodfellow Lodge.

Check out Pine Creek Canyon Lavender Farm. Their lavender is grown using natural creek water fed directly from Pine Creek, which flows right behind the farm. This pristine, spring-fed creek is diverted directly onto our plants, which provides unparalleled nutrition and hydration for the lavender. The result is a quality and purity found in few lavender fields around the world. The farm also sits in a near-perfect climate zone for growing lavender. The high elevation and dry air actually produces higher concentrations of oils within the plants, which gives them increased healing and aromatic properties.
